Yesterday, we experience a truly blessed service at ICEC, under the supervision of pastor Samuel Rodrigues. The message was powerful and full of revelation, which brought to mind two striking texts from the Word of God: Mateus 5:41, “If someone makes you walk a mile, go with him twice.”, e Genesis 24:20, which reports Rebekah's attitude when offering to draw water for Eliezer's camels, going beyond what was expected.

Based on these passages, Pastor Samuel emphasized a profound and challenging truth: Every believer must do more than his obligation. It’s not enough to just complete tasks or respond to requests; we are called to exceed, to serve with joy and to show, with practical attitudes, the love and excellence of the Kingdom of God.

Jesus Christ, our greatest example, taught us to walk the second mile. This is the mile of voluntariness, of sacrifice and love. And as a Church, we are challenged to do the same: serve generously, support the mission, build the Body of Christ and do our best for the glory of God.

The atmosphere at the service was one of deep reverence and gratitude.. We strongly feel the presence of God, and many hearts were touched and renewed by the Word.

May we continue to walk not just one, but two miles, with faith, with purpose and with love. May each member of ICEC feel challenged to be an active part of the mission that the Lord has entrusted to us. May more and more brothers join this Great Commission.
