Slaves or sellers?

God declared in His word that Satan came to kill, steal and destroy. All origin of suffering, you lose, anguish, oppressions and diseases come from the power of darkness, i.e., from the kingdom of satan. This power of evil destruction was installed in the world after Adam and Eve's rejection of the pact with God that had been established at creation.. The breaking of this covenant continues every time any human being follows the same path contrary to the word of God and communion with God.. That's why, Satan has the right to be in the world, because humanity to whom God gave dominion over this earth handed it over to him, and continues to deliver, committing for this, high treason against God. Every time a human being decides to deny the word, the path and communion with God, chooses rebellion against God and commits treason against his Creator as Adam and Eve did. I.e, the book of Genesis continues to be written every day in human decisions. Because in the spiritual dimension there are only two kingdoms, two gentlemen, two paths and two eternal destinations, with God or with Satan, according to the free will choice of each human being.

Do not sin lest you become slaves

It is for these reasons mentioned above that the evil power was installed through the curse, bringing eternal death, illness and poverty. At the three levels of the human dimension: spiritual, physical and material, the devil enslaved humanity, dominating everyone after the fall of the Glory of God. Because all human beings have fallen from this Glory of God and, through sin, became slaves of satan (Romans 3:23). Sin, is to give up control of your life and allow the devil to make you a slave. Sin, is all types of disobedience against God and His Word, the Bible. Therefore, the warning of scripture is the same as it says, “Sin not lest you become slaves” (Romans 6:15-20).

Christ rescued us from every curse

By our rebellion and in accordance with the justice of God which is absolute, what all humanity deserved was to be left in this captivity, handed over to satan. “But God being rich in mercy because of the great love with which he loved us, when we are dead in our trespasses, gave us life together with Christ – by grace you have been saved.” (Ephesians 2:4-5). And Jesus came to this earth to give us a chance. He came here to pay the price for our injustices, taking upon Himself the condemnation that was ours and, opening the prison door of curses, took us to enjoy once again the dominion that was lost and to regain God's blessing on our lives.

For the wonderful work of Christ and for all those who receive Him, He gave them the Power to become children of God, going from slaves to winners (João 1:12 and Romans 8:31-37). Satan no longer has dominion over those who no longer belong to him, and passed on to Christ. Galatians 3:13 the Scripture affirms that Christ redeemed us from every curse… that is, there is no more curse, but this gave way to God's blessing recovered in Christ. It is because of this blessing from God that victories happen. Winners are those who escaped the curse and who live committed to God, and filled with the Holy Spirit and His Power. Only then does God's victory happen.

Today is the day to live the best that God has for you, being more than conqueror in Christ.

Kind regards,

Pastor Leonel Ferreira
